    朱立倫指出，如果開放含有瘦肉精的美國豬肉進口，將在台灣內部引起很大爭議。他說：『(原音)這個到時候會引起非常大的爭議，不過我相信只要支持朱立倫，就不會發生這樣的情況。我已經說過了，她很多問題都很模糊，然後前後不一的方式，很多民眾都需要一個答案，禮拜六就要投票了，作為總統候選人，應該明確告訴大家她的主張是什麼。其實最重要的是美豬之所以有疑慮，就是我們對健康、食安有疑慮，那你既然講食安政策，就應該跟民眾站在一起。』
